Nigerian football star Chinonso Eche Breaks three more world Records

After achieving his first Guinness World record  in November 2019 for most consecutive football (soccer) touches in one minute while balancing a football on the head with a remarkable 111 touches, Chinonso Eche (Nigeria) declared it wouldn’t be his last record.

Always pushing his boundaries and working hard to improve, Chinonso has stayed true to his word, breaking three new freestyle records:

  • Fastest time to 1,000 football touches while balancing a ball on the head: 7 min 46 sec
  • Most football headers in a prone position in one minute: 233
  • Most football touches in a seated position while balancing a ball on the head in one minute: 197

The now 13-year-old freestyle star from Anambra State who lives in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria has also gained a spot among the Young Achievers in the Guinness World Records 2022 book.

His skills even received international recognition from FIFA.

Chinonso decided to attempt his first record to “prove to the world that anything is possible when you believe”.

Without a doubt, after this new string of successes, his words ring out louder than ever.

“I’m very happy for the opportunity, and I feel very happy and proud of myself,” the young record holder says now, with three more records under his belt.

Chinonso can also count on the support of his family, who are proud of his accomplishments.

Although this young freestyle king was always passionate about soccer and has loved it for as long as he can remember, it was his father who first noticed Chinonso’s passion when he was around eight.

He understood Chinonso wasn’t just a child playing: he had a great talent waiting to be discovered.

After this realization he began nurturing his son’s abilities by taking him to play on a football field with other children and encouraging him to believe in himself.
