Ghanaian midfielder and deputy captain for the Black stars of Ghana has explained how he managed to get his printed T-Shirt to pay tribute to his former teammate, Christian Atsu.
According to Thomas Partey, He still didn’t believe, Christian Atsu was no more when the news broke in for a week. So a day before their match between Bournemouth, He called to beg the kits-man twice to print the T-shirt for him.
However, The controversies surrounding the removal of the shirt was not what he was thinking but he was rather cleaning his face with the Jersey after he scored but it turns out that, he didn’t want to show the inscriptions and that he feared bookings( yellow card).
Partey however., took off the his Jersey after they won 3:2 over Bournemouth and he believes that was the right time to humbly pay his last respect to Christian Atsu.
