Joseph Paintsil  is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Belgian club GENK.

Paintsil made his Ghana premier league debut with Tema youth in 2017. He scored ten (10) goals in 22 games during his only season, before leaving Ghana for Europe during the season’s month-long break in August. Paintsil was fifth in the Golden Boot race at the time of his departure, and finished the season joint-eighth, top scorer for Tema.

Joseph Paintsil was denied in the Black stars squad for 2022 World Cup in Qatar after several campaign by football lovers in Ghana.

In pursuit for his career success, Joseph Paintsil worked extra hard at his club which earned him a call-up to the black stars team ahead of the AFCON qualifier match against Angola.

He rose to fame in the Black stars team and Ghana as he provided a free-kick which brought a goal by Antoine Semenyo in the first leg of the clash at Baba Yara Sports Stadium and an assist to Osman Bukari which brought an equalizer in the 70th minute at Luanda.
