UENR SRC UNVEILS HOSTEL PROJECT PLAN

Over a couple years and accommodation on campuses still remains one of the nightmares of students in the University of Energy and Natural Resources. It is in this regard that the Joseph Adomako led SRC Administration, the 8th SRC Presidency, as promised in his manifesto have secured the plan for 6 floors 960 beds hostel accommodation for students of the Sunyani campus.

The ultra-modern hostel Accommodation building will be situated between the Getfund Hostel and the food court ( which is now UENR basic school). The plan will feature  TV rooms in each floor, study rooms, two elevator, a conference Hall and others.

In an interview with hypercitygh, the outgoing SRC President, Mr Joseph Adomako Jnr wished that subsequent SRC administrations would earnestly support and continue with the idea in erecting a hostel which will be owned and supported by the SRC.

“As visionary as I was, I knew that development is a progressively achieved part of democracy. In view of this, I earnestly hope and trust that the upcoming SRC administrations will not abandon this incredible and phenomenal project but continue unrelenting. I pray they put in all their efforts and resources to get this project done soon.”

Speaking to the modes by which the project will be financed, Mr Joseph Adomako revealed that the proposed funding strategy for the UENR SRC hostel project will be Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) agreement.

He acknowledged the entire management for their sterling leadership in helping put to fruition this project and his other successes.
