Masquerading has been a great form of entertainment for the past two decades in Sekondi-Takoradi (Ghana).
It’s mostly paraded during Christmas festivities. However, Since its being understood as a source of happiness under any occasion, Masquerade groups are mostly invited to churches, funeral grounds and other events to bring excitement.
Ghanaians abroad and People around the world usually comes to have a feel of it annually in a way of building new friend zone and experiencing different culture.
During Christmas, Masquerading groups are awarded based on the beauty of their dress, uniformity, Number of attendants and dance. The Compilation of this list was consulted by some great mouthpieces as far as Masquerading is concern in Sekondi-Takoradi and the criteria was based on Trend, social intercourses, positive youth impact, all under 2019.
