Ministry of Education donates Car to Free SHS Ambassador – Rahim Banda

The government of Ghana has provided a brand new car to Rahim Banda to aid his duties as the Free SHS ambassador.

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) gave a brand new pickup to Banda, as he supports the government’s flagship education programme.

Announcing the gesture in a post on his timeline on Facebook, Rahim Banda said ” fully aware of the challenges I would face when granted this ambassadorial role, I fully took up the responsibility regardless. With every day passing and all work, myself and my team have done, it is satisfactory enough that we know we have gained some recognition from the masses.”

He noted that transportation became a problem in reaching out to people in rural areas so he sought the assistance of the Education Ministry to provide him with a vehicle that will help him transport materials as he embarks on his tour across the country.

He expressed his gratitude to the government and the Education Ministry for their support.

Master Rahim Banda has been supporting Senior High School students with exercise books and other items to aid their academic work on their campuses.

The free SHS programme is the NPP government’s major flagship project implemented to allow for every Ghanaian of high school-going age to enroll for free.
