The sensational Trap and Drill king in Ghana, Kwaku DMC, has disclosed how he and the Asakaa team met Virgil Abloh.
Virgil Abloh is an American designer, entrepreneur, and DJ who has been the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection since March 2018. Abloh is also the chief executive officer of the Milan-based label Off-White, a fashion house he founded in 2012.
In an interview with Wilfred blogs, Kwaku DMC discloses that, Kumasi kwame introduced him to Virgil after coming across a song titled Suzzy that features himself, City Boy and Jay bhad.
According to Kwaku DMC, Kumasi Kwame sent him a text via Instagram and promised to help him and the whole Asakaa team.
So he first introduced me into Gafachi, one of the best international beat makers in the world who is also linked to Virgil.
On one fateful day, I woke to see about one hundred notifications on my instagram which got me thinking because it rarely happen.
I then realized Virgil Abloh was following, I didn’t know him much so I made several research on google and YouTube.
After some minutes, I checked my “ Dm” and he has sent me a text, commending me on my work and the Asakaa boys.
“So on April 12, 2020. Virgil posted our video on his Instagram page and that changed our story.
Since then, Virgil has been part of their history and all engagements.
