First Ghanaian to be honored by SSDP in USA – Juana Boateng

Juana A. Boateng born on August 14,1992 is a young Ghanaian Entrepreneur,Philanthropist ,Public Relation officer and Project Manager.

She’s a passionate activist and also work for H.E Jerry John Rawlings (Former president of Ghana).



Miss Juana had her Second Cycle education at Wesley Grammar School (Dansoman) where she was a Home Economics,Clothing and Textiles Student and completed in 2011.

As a dream for most High school Graduates to enter the University, She had the opportunity to study Art and Design at Ho Technical University then later had few courses on Drug Policy and Human Right being sponsored by Open Society For West Africa.

She later furthered to read Psychology and Human Development at Regent University.


Achieving good human relation and public speaking,She coordinated the administrative part for the newly Tema Roundabout which was a JiCa funded project.

Currently, She is a the ambassador for Global goodwill and a National mentoring day.

She is a former young diplomat of Ghana and currently a columnist for the Business and financial time newspaper.

She also founded the Ghana chapter of students for sensible drug policy (SSDP) which is very active in few campuses including UPSa, Wisconsin and university of Ghana.
She served as a board on SSDP in Washington DC as well as the Alumni Networking and programs director for the president Obama’s young African leadership initiative (YALI RLC ).

She is the CEO of JS Locals and pub located at Tantra Hills (Accra) and also a Project management and Labour consultancy office at Tema. (JSC INTERNATIONAL MAINSTAY).

She was the first and only Ghanaian to be honored as an outstanding student organizer in 2017 by SSDP in the USA.

She was the only Ghanaian youth to represent at the united Nations General assembly special section (UNGASS) 2016 in New york.

She Was interviewed by BBC in 2019 on Biz 100 twice and got nominated at the UNDER 40 CEO Category.

As a young and vibrant female activist, she looks forward to impacting lives and helping talented children achieve their goals in life.
