Atletico Madrid alert over growing interest in Ghanaian target Baba Iddrisu

Ghana midfielder Baba Iddrisu has received a lot of interest from European clubs ahead of a possible move in the January transfer window.

The Mallorca defender has been in top form this season for his club with Everton among the top clubs keenly interested in signing the Ghana international.

Rafa Benitez is said to be a fun of combative midfielder and has made him a transfer target ahead of the winter transfer window.

Everton have intensified their pursuit of the midfielder and has this month made additional inquiries on the availability of the player.

However, Atletico Madrid is also considering a swoop for Baba Iddrisu who was supposed to be a replacement for Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey when he left the club.

Baba Iddrisu’s style fits that of the Madrid club and are monitoring the situation as the club pushes forward to make a move.

Atletico Madrid could move for the Ghana international in the January transfer window due to his impressive form.

The 25-year-old has made 15 appearances this season and scored one goal.

Iddrisu is expected to make the Black Stars squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be hosted in Cameroon.
